In comparison to other cross trainers and the X201, the York X202 has a longer length frame and also boasts a unique gearing ratio, features which combine to enhance the smoothness of the elliptical motion, whatever programme is in operation. The magnetic resistance system is both smooth and quiet, with 16 levels of automatic resistance to help keep noise levels to a minimum.
The three colour display window monitors user progress throughout any of the cross trainer's 22 programmes, which include 12 pre-set programmes and 4 specific heart rate programmes. The heart rate control function enables the user to workout at the appropriate level of intensity, automatically adjusting resistance as necessary. Users can also create and store their own individual workout programme, making the York X202 suitable for beginners and the more experienced alike. Hand pulse sensors are also conveniently located on the elliptical arms.
The LCD display reports speed, time, distance, calorie burn, heart rate and even room temperature. In addition, there is a built in Body Mass Index and percentage Body Fat fitness test measure, enabling users to fully assess the impact of their training programmes over a given period of time.
Height and length of the handles are both adjustable on the York X202, transport wheels are provided for ease of movement and it can also lay claim to a maximum user weight of 140kg – some 5kg more than many similarly priced cross trainers currently on the market.

"Great cross trainer, I bought this over the X201 because of the extra weight support and stabilty that it provides. I was not disappointed, it runs smoothly and the user profile setting is great for checking your progress. It was easy enough to assemble and I'm glad it also has wheels to make it much easier to transport, although it is quite heavy."
